1.Buenas, Davinia. Hasta ahora sabemos que eres de Madrid, le das al snowboard y se te ve mucho por el Xanadú. ¿Qué más nos cuentas de tí?
Hola, pues como bien has dicho, aparte de todo eso, tengo 22 años (aunque me conservo mu´ bien, jejej), me dejo ver una o dos veces por semana por la nevera madrileña, más conocida como Xanadú. Llevo casi 4 años desde que me puse por primera vez una tabla y desde entonces no me la he vuelto a quitar. Cosa que ha ocasionado algún conflicto que otro con mis padres, otros deportes a los que me dedicaba, amigos y estudios (que por fin ya están terminados). La verdad es que mi vida ha pegado un cambio radical en estos últimos años, y a pesar de moratones, magulladuras y algún día sin poder sentarme cómodamente, sigo aquí… ¡y me encanta!
2.¿Como te lo montas para hacer snowboard?
Esa ha sido la parte en la que mas anécdotas puedo tener. Muchas mentiras a mis padres (lo siento), de muchos días supuestamente en la biblioteca y yo mientras en mi nevera querida. Dejar el material en el cuarto de la basura de mi portal y esperar que se fueran mis padres a la cama para bajar corriendo a por él, con la suerte que el portero no lo hubiera sacado como basura. Largos viajes y carreras para no perder el metro, tren y bus, para conseguir llevar el material, porque aquí en Madrid está prohibidísimo subir las tablas en los autobuses, (¡viva el apoyo al deporte!).
Como se ve, el no tener el carnet de conducir me condiciona mucho a la hora de poder desplazarme a la montaña, pero siempre me las he ido apañando (gracias amigos conductores).
Todo esto es lo que hace que me guste tanto este deporte, siempre hay una historia que contar.
3.Oye y la escena de chicas que le dan al snow por Madrid cómo anda o sueles ir siempre con chicos?
La verdad es que me gustaría ir mucho más con chicas, pero en la nevera somos muy poquitas, pero muy jabatas todas ellas (AUPA esa Pili, Any y Sary´s) demostrando una evolución increíble año tras año, aunque cada vez se suelen ver más chicas a las que les está gustando este deporte. Pero el 90% de las veces ando con chicos, y siempre me he sentido muy acogida por ellos. Son los que me motivan a probar cosas nuevas, a perfeccionar trucos… aunque cuando jugamos a un P.I.G.(un pique de trucos), suelo ser la primera en eliminarme, no suelen tener piedad conmigo.

4.¿Tienes alguna rider en la que te inspires especialmente y por qué? O vas más a tu bola y prefieres no fijarte en nadie?
La verdad que no tengo a ninguna rider que me haya inspirado. Mi inspiración de siempre fue mi chico. Por todas las horas que ha echado conmigo, le he visto sonreír, enfadarse y echarse las manos a la cabeza, tanto por desesperación como por alegría. Y gracias a mi cabezonería ahora puedo seguirle y poder hacer snow con él.

Os animo a todas, que no dejéis de soñar, que luchéis por lo que queráis, que con empeño y paciencia todo se acaba consiguiendo, que esto no es un deporte solo de chicos. Tenemos que demostrar que estamos ahí, que no somos solo una cara bonita.

Hi Davinia, the only thing we know about you is that you like snowboarding and that you often hang around Xanadu (indoor snowpark in Madrid).But what should we know more about you?
Well,I´m 22 yrs old (although I don´t look like old..hehe) and that I normally go once or twice a week to `Madrids fridge´(Xanadu).The first time I tried a board was 4 yrs ago and since than I haven´t stopped snowboarding. At the beginning I had many problems with my family, other sports I used to practise, some friends and my studies (but I finally finished them).My life has changed a lot in the past years and despite the injuries and some days not been able to sit without feeling any pain I love it!(hehe)
2.How do you manage to snowboard?
I have so many anecdotes to tell about this…Many lies to my parents (sorry), presumably many days in the library and meanwhile me in my beloved `fridge´.I used to leave the material in the trash room of my house and waited until my parents went to bed to run down again and take it and I was always lucky when the keeper had not thrown the trash. Long trips and races to take the subway, bus and train to be able to take the material, because here in Madrid is strictly forbidden to take the boards with you on the buses (I love the support to the sport here!).
As you can see not having a drivers license is a big problem for me to go to the mountains, but I always find a way (thanks a lot, my dear friends with a car…).
This all makes me love this sport that much, there is always a good story to tell about.
3.And what about the snowboard girls scene in Madrid?Do you ride with any?
I would love to ride more with girls, but at the `fridge´ we are just a little,although we are trying to ride hard (hi to Pili,Any and Sary!).We try to ride better everyday and you can see there are more girls starting to ride.But 90% of the time I´m riding with guys,but they treat me well, they motivate me to try new tricks, although they don´t have any consideration everytime we do tricks games.They have no merci!
4.Is there a concrete rider you admire or do you just do your thing without trying to copy anyone?
There isn´t a concrete rider that inspires me. My boyfriend is my basic inspiration, for all the time he spends riding with me, I have seen him smile, be shocked, be angry…but I have been constant and now I can ride with him.
